I’ve created this blog so my family and friends can view some of my artwork and see my random thoughts about my art.  Maybe you will even be inspired to create some artwork of your own.

Just a few things about my art:

I enjoyed drawing as a child and finally decided to take it to the next step after graduating from college.  I started by taking an oil painting class that was offered by Nell Caton, a certified Bob Ross instructor.  I did several paintings using the Bob Ross style but my drawing skills were lacking.  I enrolled in classes taught by Pat Hart and learned to draw.  I learned to draw and paint with pencils, pen and ink, soft pastels, and just a little with oil and watercolors. 

Unfortunately, I moved away and quit taking classes.  Eventually, I got busy with “life” and quit drawing. 

I’ve recently started drawing again and am learning more and more each time I draw.  I draw for fun and the joy of seeing something that I’ve drawn that looks realistic.

My goal is to draw a little each day and I will try to post to this blog at least once a week.  So check back soon and I hope you enjoy the site!
